Dare to Dream

Hi Creative Owls!

Hope everyone is inspired by the beautiful weather to be creative :) I sure am!

I have always been a person who believes in dreaming and dreaming big! So naturally I fell in love with the phrase Dare to Dream in the Loving Thoughts stamp set by Stampin' UP!. I also like the font - so elegant and pretty.

Here is my card made with that set and the dress form. It also features a window sheet so you can see through to the inside where I put the sentiment.

Above is the card standing and open and below is the card laying down and shut so you can see the image inside

This card evolved from just the dress form. I had seen cards using just the form but with images on it so I wanted to try it out. But of course as soon as I got started the card kinda just fell into place :)

My supply list (all Stampin' UP!):

-Cardstock:
  • Soft Suede
  • Crumb Cake
  • Summer Starfruit
  • Very Vanilla
-Window Sheet
-Comfort Café Designer Series Paper

Hi Creative Owls
I looove owls and as you can tell by now love being creative as well so I decided to call my followers "Creative Owls". Hope you think this name is as cute as I do!

Today I have a card that can be for any occasion, I put the "Hello" stamp from the Friendship Preserves set from Stampin' UP! but you can put any greeting.

I think this is soo cute for a Mother's Day card (too bad I already showed MY mother ;)) or birthday it could even work for Valentine's Day.

Melon Mambo Spring Birthday Card

Hi!
After all the snow we got this winter it's nice to finally see the green grass and sun more often. :) So in light of springtime I made a very bight and cheerful card for a friend's birthday.

So pretty, isn't it? :)
What I did to get the ribbon all ruffled like that is I put Sticky Tape on the entire back of the ribbon then made loops. Nothin' to it.
Also, don't forget to stamp your leaf  images before you emboss your cardstock. It won't give you a solid image if you do it after. Just a little tip!
The flowers are embossed with coloured embossing powder and heat set then I just cut them out with my paper snips.

My Supply List:
  • Cardstock
    • Melon Mambo
    • Very Vanilla
    • Whisper White
  • Ink
    • Versa Mark
    • Melon Mambo
    • Wild Wasabi
  • Embossing Powder
    • Pool Party
    • Wild Wasabi
    • Melon Mambo
  • Stamp Set
    • Fifth Avenue Floral
    • Itty Bitty Banners
  • Bitty Banners Framelits
  • Pool Party Ribbon
  • Elegant Lines Embossing Folder
  • Basic Pearl Jewels

Quint-Essential Card

In my last Stampin' UP! order I got the Quint-Essential stamp. At first glance it seems to be just another flower stamp...but no! It coordinates with 5...yes 5! of Stampin' UP!'s punches (all listed below). You simply stamp the image 5 times and then punch out each layer. It's THAT easy! To show off how pretty the stamp was I decided to stick with a simple card.

After I punched out all the layers I added dimentionals to the back of each and stuck 'em together!
Easy as that :)

Supply List:
  • Stamps
    • Quint-Essential Single Stamp
    • Teeny Tiny Stamp Set
  • Ink
    • Gumball Green
    • Pacific Point
    • Tangerine Tango
    • Rich Razzleberry
    • Melon Mambo
  • Whisper White Cardstock
  • Tangerine Tango 1/4" Ribbon
  • Designer Vintage Faceted Buttons
  • Dimensionals
  • Punches
    • 2 3/8" Scallop Circle
    • 1 3/4" Scallop Circle
    • 1" Circle
    • 3/4" Circle
    • 1/2" Circle
Thanks for visiting my blog. Hope my cards inspire you :)

Just Because MDS card

Today I have an MDS (My Digital Studio) card for you. For those who aren't familiar with this program is it a digital program that allows you to design cards, scrapbooks, calenders and more! It is great for the minimalist who doesn't want a lot of craft supplies floating around the house. You can buy stamp sets, embellishments and kits if you wish or just stick with the elements that come with the program.

Anyway, on to the card:

This is actually a hybrid, only part of the card is made in MDS. I printed out the designer paper and the leaf stamp together on Whisper White paper, embossed it with the Stripes embossing folder and then put that onto Island Indigo cardstock and also added the embellishments. I also sponged around all the edges with Soft Suede Ink.

Here is what I used (All products are from Stampin' Up):
  • MDS
    • My Friend Stamp Brush Set in Island Indigo
    • Spring to Life Designer Series Paper
  • Stripes Embossing Folder
  • Flirtatious DSP (the doily)
  • Island Indigo Cardstock
  • Whisper White Cardstock
  • Vellum
  • Island Indigo Ink
  • Soft Suede Ink
  • Vintage Verses Stamp Set
  • Designer Label Punch
  • Filigree Brads
Hope you enjoyed today's card! Thanks for visiting my blog :)

Welcome to my Blog!

Hi! My name is Meghan and I have been a stamping enthusiast for a couple of years now however, this is the first time I will be blogging my little projects for all to see! I hope you will find inspiration here and enjoy your visit!

The Very First Card

I recently got the Dress Up framelits from Stampin UP! and absolutely LOVE them. They remind me of when I was a kid and used to dress up my paper dolls (remember those?) With these framelits you can make any pattern of dress and even add belts (with ribbon) and necklaces (with pearls/rhinestones). The possibilities are endless!

I also used the absolutely a-maz-ing Honeycomb embossing folder from Stampin' UP!. This little guy is reeeally fun to use! I used the Core'dinations cardstock (Stampin' UP) and sanded it to create the two tone look. Very cool right?

 Here it is:

I love how much texture the sanding creates. Any time I get the chance to use the technique I do :)
I should also mention that I sponged over the embossing at the bottom with Whisper White craft ink to make it stand out.

  • Paper
    • Primrose Petals Core'dinations
    • Pink Pirouette
    • Crumb Cake
